Whoa whoa, I can see this is getting messy.

I hear all the time that tolerance comes from learning about the other perspective. I did not ask this as an antagonist. I asked it because it seems contrary to me. I was looking for an answer, or possibly a shared confusion.

I see it the same as I would a skin head dressed like RUN or a Mexican blasting Michael Buble music from his garage.

Both are big proponents of their race (hence Lulac, NAACP, La Raza, BET) and it would seem that if they are coming from a position of preservation, support, and promotion, they would not emulate the perceived oppressor.

Obviously I ruffled feathers. I don't think blacks want to be white, but I wonder if they would prefer to be less black? It seems hypocritical to me. We no longer live in a time where blacks should feel they have to "pass" in order to get treated better...or do we?

I would ask the same question of a pro-white spokesperson with an 8-ball jacket.

EDIT: If it will help, I'll ask to have the thread removed.
