When Kimber started, they took great care and ( in my opinion ) were worth the premium. Once they got a good name, the extra work that
made their name was discarded so they could pump out more firearms.
I'm with Mark, I'll gather parts and have my gunsmith friend Ray verify my fitment. He worked magic on my Springfield 1911 A1 for not much money
