We have long planned to downsize our living situation and spend more time and money on travelling and less on our house. When this hit us a few weeks ago, we decided to accelerate our plans. I have thought of the same things. No waiting until 67 to retire. I could actually do it today if I wanted. It's hearing this from friends about things like this that make me want to pull the trigger and just do it.
