They're over driving the capabilities of the car, not to mention their driving skill isn't very good on a non-oval. So yeah, they should slow down if that's what it takes to keep from losing it, like any other driver in any other series should do.
and for the record, no i'm not a fan of NASCAR, but who cares what I"m a fan of besides me
