I got sick of having a box full of slotcar stuff, and boxes full of my Hot Wheels collection. So I found an old chest of drawers at the landfill, and some 2x4's and shit and built two tables, joined by a bridge that spans my desk. I just wanted to have my shit out for once, it's all been in storage for years, but I actually found that I don't get blocked as much if I can stop writing, blast a few laps, crash a couple cars, and clear the mind.

We used to do that shit at home in my Mom's living room. Elaborate road race sets and all our Matchbox, Sizzlers and Hot Wheels cars spread out.

She would pitch a bitch, make us take it all apart, and stow it.
