That's the problem with crazy super custom junk...you can't really sell it.
I actually came fairly close to rhino-lining my purple 95 vette because it was going to be cheaper than a proper repaint, but I knew I'd lose a big chunk of my $7000 dollars I bought it for. Instead, I cleaned it real good and sold it for $6500 with faded paint and a 11k more miles on it than when I first acquired it.
just because I would have liked it doesn't mean I should do it-which is what happened to the pimp-mobile in your link.
