The Wisconsin State Fair was mentioned in this recent article about Best State Fairs along with a pic of the same exact cream puff, as one of the suggested foods to try while there.

Texas and New York were also mentioned in the article for having great state fairs. Been to the NY one many times, cool that it is the oldest...if you go, don't forget to drop by the Horticulture Building and grab a big baked potato.
