Here is my stupid question of the day.

I learned that the jar of JIF I bought is a batch that is included in the recall. I have already eaten almost half of it and have not gotten sick. They are asking that it be thrown away due to "potential" salmonella contamination. Wouldn't I have gotten sick by now?

I normally would not even consider keeping it, but my deep mistrust of all things "official" now, has me doubting the FDA deeply. Convenient that there is a formula shortage tied to them and now a recall tied to them. These shortages are manipulations of the supply chain and I don't want to participate.

That said, I also don't want food poisoning.
