Watched an ESPN special last night about the Bartman thing. They also talked about a few other infamous things like Buckner's play at first that cost Boston game 6 against the Yankees in 1986. I was watching the Bartman game when that happened and as soon as I saw it a sense of doom descended on me.
But I think the Bartman curse was ended in the Giants' series. After the Cubs pitcher Hendricks was hit in the pitching arm by a batted ball, the Cubs had to put in Woods. He pitched well and got the Cubs safely out of that inning, then hit a home run. And the Giants' pitcher that gave up that home run played college ball with none other than Steve Bartman.
