You know, I just filed for VA benefits back in May and am now going through the process. I seen too many abuse the system and I may be stubborn or old fashioned with a value system or a combo but it just didn't feel right for me to file. Yet after five years and knowing my health will degrade the more I age, the wife finally talked me into filing. The money part, sure most anyone can use extra money but that's just an extra sweetener for me filing. I will say my body did endure a few things during my time with Uncle. By far not as much as many who've endured much more.
