On the flip side, our neighbors across the street are trying to sell their house since they recently bought another house in the neighborhood. This is a small patio home with no garage and has not been updated since the early 90s.
They paid a little over $500k two years ago and listed it at $895k. House has been on the market almost two months while other places are selling. Even in this market you need to have reasonable expectations
there is another house, about 6 houses away up the block, asking 720k, been on the market for over 100 days. our house is asking $148/SF, that one is asking $175/SF. clearly, they are asking too much, given that it is still for sale. maybe they have time. i'd rather sell and move on with life. Zillow pegged ours at 425k before the listing went up.

i'll let you all know, hopefully in a few days.
