My 2004 55" plasma hdtv picture just went out. I'm not gonna try to fix it. There are too many advancements since then ...I no longer want the tv anymore.
I need something that will fit on an 11" wide shelf that's 60" long. It would be great if it can be mounted to the wall on the same wall-mount hardware that holds my current tv. Not sure if that's possible these days.
I know nothing about the current generation of tv's... refresh rates, pixels, smart tv's, qled's, etc.
For a budget of about $4,000 or less, what would you recommend? I don't watch a whole lot of TV, mainly over-the-air local channels and some One America News and Netflix on my AppleTV. But I tend to buy pretty close to current cutting edge technology just because I keep things for as long as they continue to work... I don't upgrade a functional device just because I can.
