I'm with the libs on this one. Freedom is an unalienable right, not a gift.
Restoring someone's freedom after it has been taken away is not a gift; even if, in YOUR opinion, they lived a better life as a slave than they did back in their own country when they were free.
Hell, if you asked me if I'd rather live free in the jungle with few if any amenities, vs living in a nice slave quarters building and not having my freedom, I'd take the jungle. Every time.
