I have no doubt that if that got any kind of widespread dissemination, they most certainly would.
The sad part is that I would either have to present to my wife an impressive inventory of Q-tips that we already have on hand, or I would be on another pilgrimage within the week, so, please don't. The third alternative is to listen to the panicking and hand-wringing associated with her feeling we don't have what we need. Experience has shown that my resistance to this lasts about 48 hours, so there really are only two eventual outcomes.
The good news is I have a shit load of Q-tip like things of varying lengths that I use to clean out my dog's ears, so my inventory would probably pass muster. SHHHHHHHHHHHHH
