Here is my initial impressions of my new C7.
FYI it has Z51, NPP, Mag ride, 7 spd, 2LT, Nav.
My previous vette was a 09 Z51, 3LT.
First things first: This is a amazing car. Almost everything is improved over my previous 09. The clutch is fairly light and the shifter works great. I do occasionally shift from 4th to 7th but I think that is a familiarity issue and will go away with experience. Steering is precise and the feel of it is very nice. You quickly get used to the rear visibility and if you set your side mirrors correctly it takes care of the blindspots.
The tires are amazingly sticky for a street tire. Whoever put a 300 treadwear on there was seriously confused. I will probably be replacing my fronts at 6000 miles based on current wear and use.
Rears are doing much better. Under hard cornering there is just a tad bit of understeer but not near as much as my 09.
The interior is so much better there just is not any comparison. You just have to experience it yourself. Seat ventilation works good. Nav looks good but I just have not played enough with it to report on it.
There is a tremendous amount of info available on the displays. It is almost overwhelming!
Is there a couple of minor issues that could be improved? Yes. But there is nothing I would even come close to complaining about yet.
Even with all the vents and stuff on the exterior the car is easy to wash and wax. The black wheels show brake dust and dirt way more than I thought they would. The exhaust tips are difficult to clean as they have the shrouding completely surrounding them with close clearances.
I am extremely pleased with my purchase so far. Be prepared to get a lot of attention in this car as it draws crowds easily.
YMMV,
Paul
