The view count simply indicates how many times that page has been served.
This forum is viewable to anyone, and it's typical for unregistered and bot/search spider traffic to comprise 3/4 of the site's traffic, page views will naturally be somewhat in proportion. In a private section (like btb), this count would be more acccurate to member views.
It also does not represent
unique views, so you increase that number by simply reloading or revisiting the page. You will not see that happen as you do it, the display updates hourly.
