If you have ever disassembled a stalk, you'd find the wires are VERY small and most likely one of them broke. It could be mechanical as well. You really won't know until you take it apart OR if you know someone with a C5, switch theirs and see if it feels different. If it fells the same, I'd look for a wire issue. First question is if ya push forward does it click and lock? If open column, replace with new switch and try before final install
If still doesn’t work - wiring, but that could also if switch latches and no brights
Wiring or fuse?
