I could actually see this as having some use in a medical setting, where actual sick, coughing Wu flu patients and others with communicable diseases are being treated. For general use? Meh. Probably not.
I still don't understand how they will achieve a flush seal around the neck, with hair in the way. Anyone who has been respirator fit tested understands that in order for the mask to work, you can't have any leaks, otherwise you're STILL inhaling phosgene, benzene, paint, or whatever else you're trying to protect from.
