And with no insurance, I'm not going to start racking up $5,000 a day or whatever they are charging. I'm in nearly daily contact with my doctor's nurse, and she's reporting all the info I give to him. I'm in good care as it is.

You can run up waaaaay more than $ 5K in a few HOURS at an ER, and that's if you don't get admitted.
