I got a call from an old military buddy last night with some terrible news. A mutual friend of ours in Nashville is about to the end with brain cancer. I was floored. Truthfully, I hadn't talked to Jeff since he left active duty in 1996 or '97. That said, we had been good "work" friends the whole time we worked in a common area. He did his enlistment, and then went on his way. Apparently, he has done pretty well, and I couldn't be more proud to have considered him a friend. Try to throw some good vibes their way.
