In terms of ALL white voters, Kerry and Gore both won 41%. Obama won 43%. Obama Beat Kerry and Gore with whote voters, yet took only 85% of white Democrats.

At the same time, McCain did WORSE among Republicans than Bush in either 2000 or 2004. Bush won 91% and 93% of the Republican vote. McCain took only 90%.
