But understand 99.9% is the failing mark in this particular test. If you pop in here just once after forgetting to connect to that VPN, well then I will have your "real" IP logged, and all your efforts to obfuscate it accomplished exactly nothing.
It should be noted that most residential ISPs do not give you a fixed IP address - they charge you extra to have one. While it often stays stable for many weeks or months, it can and does change without notice. One quick and easy way to convince your ISP to assign you a new IP address is to program a new MAC address into your gateway's Ethernet interface and then reset your cable modem.
