So you are saying that Collin's father is white? Or some other race? Got a link to support that?
I've seen pictures of the Morikawa family, and both Mom and Dad look pretty Asian to me. Also, everything I read says he comes from a "Japanese-Chinese" family.
Maybe Collin just wants to be an American, without any kind of asterisk or hyphenation about ethnicity?
