Yeah, this is another ridiculous premise like "Batman vs. Superman." Clearly one blast of radiation breath from Godzilla and Kong would be toast (literally). But now suddenly there are other members of Godzilla's species lying around, and Kong suddenly develops enough intelligence to make a battle axe out of a Godzilla's thigh bone and one of Godzilla's own dorsal plates. Seems totally believable.
