I like some of that stuff...so much goes into that to make it pleasing to the public.
Back then it was popular...today not so much.
But different music genre's are bringing small portions of big band music/orchestra into the public, Ska, being the biggest contributor because it's still popular amongst the young.
Even good jazz has mostly played out (as far as being popular).
