Embarrassing story time -
Last summer I got caught in a thunderstorm on my motorcycle. That in itself isn't a particularly big deal but the road I was on was under renovations so there was mud *everywhere.* By the time I got home I was head to toe mud and soaked. Like jump in a lake with your clothes on soaked. I was in the garage until 0200 cleaning the damn bike under a couple quartz lights.
