When SS benefits were passed in the 30's it was a widow /orphan fund and IF you reached a certain age you could draw from it BUT at that period the odds were against you to reach that age.

Full disclosure, I draw full SS benefis (waited to 70 to collect), have Medicare and a supplemental retirement health insurance plan paid by my ex-employer for life. I am also enrolled in the Veterans Administration Health Care plan.

Also, unlike the heathens in this forum, I lead a clean cut Christian life.


I'm 57.
I'm just looking to not pay for health benes asap.
Vets, like my sister and cousin, have lifetime medical coverage through the VA.
