A friend of mine who is extremely musically talented, taught his son to play the guitar and drums. The kid was 9 or 10 at the time and he got awesome at it. Within a year, he was playing some pretty difficult stuff. Then the kid lost interest. It bewildered and disappointed by friend. I told him not to worry; that when his son's little female classmates started to grow tits, he'd take the guitar and drums back up.
