We think my daughter had it back in late February. She is a Nurse and works at the local hospital. She is 50 and has mild Asthma. About two weeks before showing symptoms, she had to fly to Los Angeles to do a presentation at a medical seminar. She basically had very bad flu-like symptoms for about a month. She was able to work from home, as she has an administrative job.

She was never tested because tests were not readily available then. She was tested in May for antibodies and that was negative, but those tests have a lot of false negatives. Also they are now finding that the antibodies can be gone within a few months.

Our county is pretty geographically isolated and not many people commute in or out. Our County Health Officer got out in front of this very quickly. Shut down all but essential businesses, close the Casinos, hotels, prohibited all short term rentals, even closed the lake to boat traffic for awhile. Basically kept people out because there was no reason to come here, and nowhere to stay. We were worried about people flocking to here from the Bay Area where a lot of people were infected. The strategy worked. Before they started opening things up, we only had about 30 cases. Most were traceable to people who did commute to out of county jobs in larger cities.

Here are the numbers from my county. Population 60,000.
