Stang and Loco sound like a Known experience. With PreCheck, you should get no card, nor any notation on your passport. The only place you should see it is on your boarding pass.

BTW, PreCheck has become routine enough for me to seek something better. Now looking at Clear.

I do somewhere between 120 and 160 legs a year, so I may be an outlier.
Correct. You do not get any kind of card or anything for your passport for Precheck. You get a letter with your KTN (Known Traveler Number) that it is then your responsibility to make sure you enter that number in your frequent flyer profiles or when you make a reservation. One tip...if you have any existing reservations when you enter your KTN into a FF account, the KTN will not automatically update to those reservations. You usually have to talk to an ticketing agent to get that done manually. Once it's in though you should not have any problems after that. I have taken at least 2 dozen round trips since I got mine last year and it has never been an issue.
