It's not in place yet, but I was planning to nail the big 1 1/4" galvanized (or stainless) staples into a 2X4 stringer on top and bottom, and into the 4X4 vertical posts which are about 5-6 feet apart.
Any powered stapler would be welcome to cut the time (I'm paying helpers by the hour) and effort, so long as the staples would be big enough.
Those wimpy little 1/4" stainless staples are useless for this project.
