While it’s hard to see the final numbers in the video, the time slip doesn’t lie. The Corvette absolutely slaughtered the Demon, laying down a time of 10.20 at 137 mph, while the Demon lumbered to an 11.59 at 134 mph. Judging by the MPH and the poor 1.95 60-foot time, the Demon was fighting some serious traction issues. But either way you cut it, the Corvette simply outperformed the Demon.

Had the Demon cut a better 60-foot, it would have been a much closer race but the victory would have still likely have gone to the ZR1 as it still out trapped the Dodge. Not to mention the fact that it cut a blistering 1.60 60-foot time in the process. All of this was accomplished at +500 feet DA, as you can see from the time slip which is pretty good air all things considered.

Poor traction issues for sure but the slip tells the rest of the story. The Demon has a big disadvantage primarily due to weight and drag.

Even if the Demon had cut the same 60' time as the Vette, the Demon would have run, at best, 10.9.
Each .1 second on the launch is good for .15-.20 at the end.

At best, it would give the Demon a .7 reduction in ETA yielding ~10.9 which is still a good bit slower than 10.2.

On the other hand, the MPH is impressive for the Demon. A lot of that is wheel spin off the line. Spin out of the hole kills ET but adds to MPH.

The difference in MPH from the 1/8 to the end is substantial.
Vette picked up 28 mph
Demon picked up 32 mph

I'm surprised the Vette didn't pick up more on the big end. I'd guess slow shifting (torque mgmt) or clutch slipping to be the cause.
I run mid 10s but pick up 31-32 mph on the big end running NA. That ZR1 would have similar HP but more TQ due to FI which should yield strong MPH gains.

Then of course all the other things come into play like rear end ratio, ratio of trans gears, speed of the shifts (manual vs auto)

Either way, the Vette handed that Demon it's ass.
