The answer is that the decline in number of pizzas sold at 12.14 will cost more than the additional 15 cent revenue generate by the number of pizza sold at the new price.

A fifteen cent difference in price for a product produced by a major national player in a mature industry characterized by price competition and tight margins can literally alter units sold by the thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions.
