My wife, at least fourth generation assertive matriarch, would say masculinity is a requirement.
Her Mom inherited family business with her maiden name on it, her grandma chose what state they were to settle in after going bust in Montana, her great grandmother also made strategic decisions on where the family settled in the new world. Strong women that did not desire *****'s for husbands like so many "feminists".
It is funny (or just plain sad) to observe feminists bleating for respect.
