The Kings are in first place in the Pacific Division with just two games left to play in the regular season and they have
not clinched a playoff spot. That's right, there's a possibility that the current leader of the Pacific won't even qualify for post-season play.
It's been an exciting, albeit frustrating, year to be a Kings fan. They proven themselves capable of playing phenomenal hockey and also capable of some truly lackluster performances. There's very little chance that they will go very far in the playoffs (assuming they qualify) but if they make it, their first-round opponent will certainly have their hands full.
Tonight is the first half of a home-and-home vs. the Sharks to wind up the regular season. It's gut-check time out West.
