Actually you are correct. Except in a few instances in the West Federal Agents have yet to be used to quell violence, enforce curfew and in general attempt to restore order where they might actually be most effective. It seems the framers of our Constitution were cognizant of potential large scale Government actions against the general citizenry and wrote provisions into the Constitution to limit that presence. I am not here to argue the legalities of what is happening out there.
However, Mr Trump's recent introduction of Federal agents in hot zone cities MIGHT just give the "protesters" some pause as they plan where to foment unrest next.
