IMO, no, not a dick, and neither was he. I always hate when folks get all in a bunch about low-ball offers from buyers, or high asking prices from sellers. Neither of you did that. Buying and selling cars is my least favorite part of the car hobby. If exchanges among parties who cannot agree on a price were this civil, it would be so much less painful.
