Default Changing jobs

I had posted several months ago about a possible job change. Still working for the Air Force, but in a different capacity. I ended up turning that job down for the simple reason the pay didn't come close to equaling the ass pain involved. It was a promotion, just not enough of one. That said, promotion opportunities come around, and I got picked up for a slot in the quality office. My duties now will be evaluating other mechanics, inspecting final products, etc.

I've certainly enjoyed my job rebuilding C-17 Thrust Reversers, and the folks I work with are like family. I've also been fortunate to have a good boss (don't anyone tell him I said so) but hopefully I can make a positive difference where I'm going. It's not like I'm leaving the base or anything, and will still see everyone, so that part is good. Overall, I've been very fortunate, and am thankful for the opportunities I've been given.
