I have to tell you, you guys make a difference. I was quite despondent when I started this thread. I’m dealing with it better now. It’s easy to say “I have a chronic illness too”. But if one really did, they would be more understanding. Not all chronic conditions are debilitating.

Most people don’t know much about Crohns. Some people who have it hardly have any symptoms. Others die from it. I’d probably be in much better shape if I didn’t have leukemia on top of it. It’s the combination that really ****s things up.

I honestly don’t understand people who think medical stuff should be secret. Who gives a shit? I suppose 14 years of going to the cancer center changes ones view. Nobody hides anything there. We lift each other up.

Sometimes you can’t do it alone. Why would you?
