i spent the years between 18-25 on the road with dozens of bands. When I extracted myself from that life, I ended up in Milwaukee where I took the first job I found - bank teller. I was surrounded by young women who loved drinking. This was 1985. Holy shit the things we said and did. We literally went out every night to the bars. Me and 6-7 women. More times than I can count we showed up at work the next day wearing the same clothes.
The poon train was interrupted by getting robbed twice at gunpoint 8 days apart. I was shot in the shoulder during the second robbery (AD). It occurred to me that the $7.00 an hour was absolutely not worth it.
But I have my memories.
