The word translated as “cherish” from the Greek is a strong word. It’s not just like something you like and put on a shelf to admire, or park in the garage so it doesn’t get wet in the rain. No. It’s the sense that you cling to it. It’s your most precious item, and you protect and defend it with all your might.
