You must have watched a different race than I did. ~1/3 of the laps in the truck race were run under caution, and lots more would have been without the red flag with 20 laps to go. They red flagged the race at the end of each stage for a 3 minute pit stop so no positions could be gained in the pits. Same driver won Stage 1, Stage 2 and the race with very few lead changes. I didn't count but it seemed there was a caution flag every 8-10 laps.
Cup race at 4 pm will have two "competition cautions" to allow track maintenance and tire changes in addition to the breaks between stages. NASCAR has lost its way.
