I shoot indoor Glock matches and I regularly outscore the LEOs who compete. The exceptions are FBI, SWAT, US Marshals and Special Forces military. Those officers are provided with an allotment of practice ammunition and are expected to expend said allotment. I agree that the vast majority of citizen gun owners who shoot at all probably expend at most 100 rounds a year if that. Most local law enforcement departments do not pay their officers to practice, nor do they provide practice ammo. That means that for those LEOs who do not shoot seriously the average round count downrange annually would be about 100 rounds expended in qualification shoots. THAT is a travesty, and a major disservice to those who protect and serve.
