Yep, when I owned my Gym they changed the name of the road it was on. Not a huge inconvenience or expense for me but a major headache for the guy that owned the place in the shopping center that rented several hundred mailboxes to customers.
Another time a gated development in my county grew so much the post office gave them a new zip code and made the name of their development their new town name. Their town had been an unincorporated town about 15 miles away. Lots of businesses there, too and lots of people operating businesses out of their homes. I worked at a print shop at the time and it was very profitable for us. People with businesses needed all new stationery, brochures, etc.
I don't think you're going to win this one. I do remember the PO giving us lots of time for the changeover, like 90 days or something like that.
