When you punch the button in it sustains like nuts even clean. I’ve changed the EQ since I shot that so it’s not so bright.

Weird thing about the old Deluxes is they don’t have a midrange control. Bass and treble only. So the mids are fixed. To manipulate it, you use the bass and treble knobs for example if you want to scoop the mids, you would turn up bass and treble together. If you want more mids, turn them down about the same. It’s sort of weird.

But I have it set now with bass at around 3 and treble at 4 - so mids are heavier and the really high highs are not as piercing. I also find the tone knob on the guitar to be quite different than a standard tone knob.

It actually boosts treble at the top and bass at the bottom. So if I roll it off just a tad, it really gets smooth. I usually never touch tone knobs on a guitar because it always makes it sound like a sock stuffed in a trumpet.

Not on this thing. Crisp, crisp, crispy goodness. When I add the Ibanez tube screamer (I have a vintage one) it really starts getting interesting. I run at half gain.

Then I have the gonzo distortion I can add on that and another clean boost on that. Then it sounds like Korn.
