For example, Aston Martin had and has a unique look exclusive to them. You could say the same about the 911 and pretty much ALL the offerings from Lamborghini in the last thirty years. Now we have a Corvette that's pretty much abandoned any styling cues from it's past. It's like it doesn't know what it want's to be in some ways.
The mid-engine thing doesn't bother me but I hate hearing "Best bang for the buck." It cheapens the car and makes those who say it sound like they're trying to justify their purchase.
I'll say this - pictures don't do it justice. You need to stand next to one to get a real idea what this thing is with all the sharp angles.

WRONG. The nose is pointed just like Gene's '72. With the top up, the vert is reminiscent of the '68-'77 coupes.
