When I was racing go karts, one of the better drivers was Doug Manmiller. One of the better "good guys" I raced against. You raced him fair, you had a great race. Try to be dirty, Doug could spin you out and make it look like you did yourself
After the races one Sunday, one of his competitors asked him to run his kart with a brand new motor he built himself. ( 5 hp briggs) Doug being a good guy said he would.
After about three laps ( 1/4 mile asphalt "road course"), the motor grenaded. It literally threw the rod out of the block. ( no oil at all will do that ).
One of the pieces of the connecting rod is laying in the grass, smoking. One of the guys walks over, picks it up, drops it immediately and says " That's hot"
Dumbass got 2nd degree burns
