In his prime. He's now 30, has had a couple of heart attacks that the vet didn't think he'd survive and has cancer. He has lost a lot of body mass, but still is alert, has a great appetite and shows no signs of distress. My wife feeds him and gives him gallons of hot water 3-4 times a day to keep him warm. He's her baby, and she realizes that a tough decision is coming soon.

This is Ramona:



She wandered up one day as I was mowing the right-of-way. Someone had dumped her, she had recently had a litter and was a mess. I've never seen a dog with separation anxiety like she had, but she adjusted and is the apple of my eye (after the grandkids).
