I don't use the clips anymore. I use nickels and dimes with a piece of clear packing tape. I roll one end of the tape down to itself and stick the coin to it. The rolled part gives you something to grab while you move the coin up and down to balance Once balanced I cut off the rolled part and stick the tape down firm. The last time I tried to use the supplied weights they flew off and I had to start all over. We also got a stubby blade fan and they really suck to balance, it took me way longer to balance than it did to install.
Pete, a fan that doesn't need to be balanced is a rare find, unless they are getting better at building them.
