I had a cystoscopy procedure performed today because I was occasionally seeing blood in my urine. My doctor found a fairly large cancerous tumor in my bladder so now the race is on to get rid of it. He's confident that it was caught early enough that I should have a full recovery, but I won't know what the treatment plan is until I see him again next Thursday. For now, I have a freaking catheter that will be removed next week. I've had a catheter before and they absolutely suck! One humorous note...the nurse who took care of me post-op said to my wife, "We had to use an extra-long catheter to wrestle the San Antonio white snake!" I thought my wife was going to pee her pants!
